Fox Rent A Car is a subsidiary of Europcar Mobility Group USA, a significant player in the USA mobility markets. Europcar Mobility Group USA's mission is to be the preferred "Mobility Service Company in the USA" by offering attractive alternative solutions to short-term rentals and long-term vehicle usage, with a growing range of mobility-related services.
We seek an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. You will perform general bookkeeping, maintain financial reports, and prepare and analyze budgets. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions are necessary.
You will:
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare cash reconciliations and gather details to book cash-related Journal Entries.
- Prepare general ledger account analysis for P&L accounts.
- Assist in preparation of variance analysis between actuals and forecast and budget on an overall Corporate level as well as by departments and locations
- Manage and maintain fixed assets module and appropriate accounting
- Assist in annual audit process with external auditors as well as responsible for preparing tax-related schedules for yearly tax returns
- Provide accounting-related support and communications between accounting and other departments within Fox
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field of study
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of general accounting or related experience
- Car rental industry experience preferred
- Proficient with Excel and Word-related skills
- Google Sheets and Google Docs knowledge, a plus
