UI/UX Real Time Designer Job at Fox Service Company in New York

Fox is looking for a multi-faceted individual to join our Real-Time Graphics team. This team is part of a larger Media Production Group which fulfills creative requests for all of Fox’s live programming and OTT content production. Our focus is to deliver intuitive solutions to end users while maintaining the vision of the brand. As the UI / UX Real Time Designer you are well versed in bringing a high level of functionality to real-time graphics platforms. The position requires a strong awareness of new developments in technology and best practices coupled with creative technical proficiency. The ideal candidate is someone who will bridge the gap between design and functionality while providing solutions for broadcast and media technology projects. They will participate in projects spanning a wide range of technologies including augmented reality, real-time graphics production, OTT platform, interactive applications, data driven information graphics and cloud services.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESDesign intuitive interfaces that optimize user interaction and experienceCollaborate with creative, editorial and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutionsExecute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-offCombine creativity with an awareness of functionalityEnforce best practices in an enterprise environmentWork directly with creative teams and end usersWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experienceAt least 5 years professional web experience, Broadcast experience is highly desiredFluent in the essential front-end web development languages, i.e., HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Skilled in modern application programming languages and frameworksExcellence in problem solving and balancing quick turnaround with long-term qualityStrong project management skillsDeep understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite products. Knowledge of Maya and / or Cinema 4D preferredAbility to learn and adapt to new technologyComfortable in a fast-moving environmentMust be detail oriented and organized, possess strong communication skills, and be able to prioritize a variety of tasks efficientlyAbility to work in a collaborative environmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule based on project schedules and programming deadlinesWork efficiently in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
