Floor Lead/Warehouse Associate - First Shift

This role supports the receiving and storage of all products sold by Fox Valley Farms. The purpose of this role is to prepare the warehouse for order picking that occurs nightly and support the warehouse manager with supervising employees, operations, warehousing and maintenance.

General Operations

· Responsible for warehouse safety procedures and safety assessments related to first shift warehousing work.

· Ensures warehouse associates are working efficiently and effectively.

· Ensures accurate completion of work records including BOLs, Purchase Orders, Inbound Assessments, cleaning logs, etc.

· Consistently and accurately documents all damaged or nonconforming products.

Warehousing and Maintenance

· Ensures all inbound delivery orders are received according to SOPs.

· Ensures all outbound orders are picked and loaded according to SOPs.

· Ensures FIFO standards are maintained across all warehouse zones.

· Maintains a clean and orderly facility.

· Adheres to state and federal occupational safety standards.

· Maintains FDA Food Safety Program standards.

· Ensures that food safety-related tasks performed by direct reports are completed.

· Ensures that facility equipment is maintained.

· Ensures that all items are accurately stored in their correct location

· Ensures cold storage continuity

· Ensures facility is clean and orderly

· Supports the cleaning and sanitation of the Fox Valley Farms facility

· May support warehousing of specific facility zones (i.e., dry, cooler, freezer)

· Ensures peninsula (expansion dock) is maintained (e.g., cleared of clutter and crates organized)

New Employee Onboarding

• Provides basic training to new staff
• Answers questions and provides feedback to new staff when appropriate

Tools

• Powered Forklifts
• Electric pallet jacks
• Extended reach lift truck
• Box sealing tape dispensers
• Desktop computer
• Self-leveling docks
• Two-way radios

Skills

• Knowledge of email and basic windows suite preferred but not necessary
• Certified lift-truck operator

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) intermediate skill level

· Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.

Experience

• 2-3 years of warehousing experience, preferred but not necessary
