Technician I – Emergency/Exit Lighting
Full Time – M-F – Starting times vary
Job Responsibilities:
- The Emergency/Exit Lighting Technician will assist in the installations, inspections, repair and servicing of emergency and exit lighting systems and lighting inverters at customer locations..
- Inspect and load test each unit with a meter to verify that the battery is properly charged, we will then discharge the unit, exercising the battery to determine that it will operate for the code required 90-minutes.
- Discusses products offered and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Creates invoices for customers and documents outcome of customer visit
Job Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable with working on ladders at a significant height
- Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds
Other Job Requirements:
- Dependable & punctual - Starting times vary
- Must be able to drive to and work throughout the Chicagoland Area using company vehicles
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Electronic or electrical background is preferred, not required
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred
- Must undergo background check in order to become PERC Certified
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional conduct at all times when representing the company
