What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspection-Dimensional position at Fox Valley Metal Tech, Inc.?
• Read and interpret complex drawings and basic welding symbols
• Inspection tool usage: tape measure, caliper, pin gauges, protractor, thread gauges, radius gauges, height gauges, bore mics
• Ability to work independently
• Complete complex First Article Inspections (FAIs)
• Familiar with customers’ requirements
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Ability to answer questions from production floor
• Perform a variety of parts and product inspections to meet company and customer requirements
• Inspect incoming sub-out parts
• Document results of inspections
• Gather data and create reports for customers
• Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors
• Validate material certifications and inspection documentation
• Follow the Nonconforming Material process
• Use calibrated measuring equipment where applicable
• Follow all safety procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required
• Good verbal and written communication skills is required
