JOB BRIEF :

We are looking for an entry level accountant to join manage the financial records for multiple small businesses, with emphasis on retail and hospitality. The position offers both remote and on-site work in Foxburg, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, with the ability to handle daily accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial records, and provide reliable financial reporting. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously as well as a strong commitment to confidentiality. This position has significant potential for advancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• General Ledger Maintenance : Manage and maintain the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Bank Reconciliations : Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as directed. Assist with development of annual budget and reforecasting.
• Data Entry and Documentation : Input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records of financial documents.
• Assist with Audits : Help prepare for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Compliance and Regulations : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis : Prepare financial analysis and special reports as requested by management.
