Position Title: Business Program Manager
Work Location: Austin, TX
I. Job Summary
As a Business Program Manager, he or she will manage the life cycle of products, services, and/or processes that deliver value to customers while meeting overall business requirements. The responsibility extends to driving and achieving business & financial results for the products/programs. Responsibilities include developing and executing system- and solution-level program plans and working cross-functionally to deliver products and services to meet or exceed customers' need. The Business Program Manager will focus on managing programs and/or products through coordination of various internal/external functional groups. This requires confidence in implementing complex project schedules and meeting deadlines and deliverables within a structured Time to Market process. Ultimately, Business Program Manager will be the end-to-end owner of the business account he or she manages.
II. Essential Functions
1. Performs initial pricing and monthly quotation updates
2. Conducts Strategies and Solutions Planning
3. Designs Business and Marketing Strategies
4. Develops Customer and Partner Relationship and/or Sponsorship
5. Performs Technology and Market trend Analysis
6. Understands manufacturing processes and requirements for cost analysis
7. Communicates and resolves issues between factories and customers
8. Develops new business opportunities
9. Exercises overall ownership of the managed accounts.
10. Be the bridge among customers and Factory, R&D, Supports, Suppliers etc.
11. Oversee production/delivery schedules to meet customer requirements
12. Manages the cost and prices of parts and the whole unit
13. Consider customers’ needs in development of products/solutions
14. Perform other duties as assigned
III. Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, information technology, marketing, or related field
2. 3-5 years of professional experience in project management, engineering, business, or technical field
3. Must be able to travel 3-4 times a year for 3-4 weeks at a time to Mexico/Asia
4. Excellent reading, writing, and verbal skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
5. Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
6. Sales and business development experience
7. Understands technology trends
8. Detail oriented with superb time management, organizational and execution skills to meet deadlines. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proactive professional with a lot of patience
10. High level of flexibility, discretion, professionalism, and integrity
11. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, listening, and interpersonal skills
13. Proven ability to work both collaboratively on a team as well as independently on multiple high-priority projects
III. Preferred Qualifications
1. MS or MBA degree
