Job Title: Senior Optical Design Engineer
Job Location: Irvine, CA or San Jose, CA
Foxconn Interconnect Technology is seeking a Senior Optical Design Engineer at the for the R&D Department.
Experience Preferred:
- Familiar with Optical Design and simulation software such as Zemax/Trace Pro/Ansys/Solidwork
- Over 5 years of experience in circuit design for the optical communication industry, with knowledge of silicon photonics design in product applications and markets.
- Familiar with IEEE 802.3, OIF 800G , MSA standards, and communication with relevant associations.
- Proficient in silicon photonics/Silicon Bench and optical component III-VI processes, SWOT analysis of EML/DML/CW Laser chips, and various electro-optical modulation technologies such as MZM.
- Capable of high-frequency circuit design for optical product development, including LDD, TIA, and DSP integration with optical components to address anomalies.
- Must have the ability to communicate directly with U.S. clients and resolve primary issues.
Education: Bachelors/Masters/PHD in Engineering preferred
