Primary Function: The Finance Associate is responsible for supporting the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to align with the company’s strategic goals. This role contributes to the maintenance of financial models, the preparation of reports, and the analysis required to support company decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support the company's strategic initiatives.
- Help maintain financial models and generate reports to analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide insights.
- Collaborate with teams to collect financial data, validate assumptions, and ensure the accuracy of financial projections.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and key financial metrics, and help present findings to stakeholders.
- Support the development of financial strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct basic financial analyses to aid decision-making processes, such as cost analyses and preliminary investment evaluations.
- Engage in the ongoing development and refinement of financial planning tools, systems, and processes.
- Keep updated with industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may influence financial planning.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as directed by senior management.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Required Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related field.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a basic ability to interpret financial data.
- Some proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis; skilled in the use of Excel.
- Strong communication skills; able to assist in communicating financial information.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial tasks.
- Effective organizational and time management skills; able to assist with multiple projects.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred, not required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
