Job Description - Planning Engineer

FSLA Status : Exempt

Location : Lordstown, OH

Reports To : Manufacturing Planning Manager

Direct Reports : None

Primary Function : The Planning Engineering organization is a primary supporting function of Foxconn Ohio production departments. The organization's primary duties are to plan and execute modifications to production system including introduction of new process equipment, modification of existing building and infrastructure, and installing new manufacturing infrastructure on Foxconn Ohio campus.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Compare, examine, and comprehend customer EV products and processes and how to merge manufacturing system with existing building and infrastructure.
• Create / modify the existing Foxconn manufacturing system to achieve EV Contract Manufacturing goals and objectives.
• Incorporate Voice of the Customer into inputs and outputs of our Foxconn Ohio manufacturing system.
• Create sustainable lean manufacturing system using industry -accepted best practices and established automotive manufacturing concepts while maintaining the maneuverability, innovative mindset, and awareness of finite resources (Start-Up Mentality).
• Support Industrial Standardization group to define industry-proven best practices in construction, utilities supply, equipment integration, and large-scale project management.
• Provide technical support to maintenance, production, and engineering departments.
• Implement data driven decisions to optimize quality cost and efficiency.
• Provide strong working knowledge of civil engineering, construction engineering, and project management principles.
• Incorporate product and process changes with internal customers (manufacturing department).
