Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor & Material Management: Select, manage, and evaluate vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials and services required for facility operations. Ensures equipment, workspaces, and tools supplied by FII are used for intended purposes and are maintained in safe working order.
- Collaboration with Engineers: Work closely with electrical engineers and other technical professionals to ensure the successful execution of facility-related projects. Provide guidance, expertise, and support to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Space Allocation & Layout: Oversee the planning and allocation of building space, ensuring optimal layout and use of space for future growth and expansion. Coordinate office and operational space needs with relevant stakeholders.
- Apply principles and working knowledge of structural, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical system design. Guide and assist the team with the maintenance of facilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills; be able to oversee three to five personnel.
- Ensure all designs, installations, and maintenance activities meet applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations, including OSHA and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Manage multiple projects/activities to meet tight deadlines and track progress. Maintain accurate documentation for record-keeping and reporting.
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other building systems
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members
- Experience with engineering and office software such as SAP and Microsoft Suites. Also, knowledge and specialization in the programming, installation, maintenance, and repair of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of A/C systems, compressed air system, vacuum pumps, BAS systems.
- Manufacture of products background is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Professional certifications in facilities management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) are a plus.
- Must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Facilities Management and related experience in project management.
