We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Lead to oversee and manage a team supporting the IT infrastructure and network services across multiple government sites. The ideal candidate will leverage ITIL best practices to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across all associated services.
Job Description
- Responsible for leading all technical design efforts related to implementing or improving IT services and support.
- Maintain the IT infrastructure in a manner compliant with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance.
- Lead an engineering group that supports the Service Delivery process by providing enhanced technical knowledge and analysis to the O&M activities.
- Provide configuration management as well as planning required to meet availability and capacity requirements of the current services, now and in the future.
- Provide O&M engineering support for, at a minimum, the following: - Network Architecture Planning and Management, Integration and Implementation, and Network Performance Analysis. -Requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation. - Security Architecture Planning, Integration and Implementation, and Performance Analysis.
- Provide engineering support for all changes to the IT infrastructure and its service offerings. This support includes technical activities as well as establishing priorities, adjusting schedules, projecting staffing, estimating rough costs, and developing high-level Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation.
- Coordinate and manage program staff and resources to ensure optimal program execution and that technical, schedule, and cost goals are met.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements while providing high-quality deliverables.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to program staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience leading an engineering group similar in scope and complexity.
- Experience designing and optimizing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.
- Progressive experience with Network Engineering, routers and switches and endpoint implementations.
- An ITIL Foundation Level Certification.
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) or IAT Level III Certification (CISM, CISSP, GSLC or CCISO).
- Strong experience in controlling and overseeing program execution, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
- Experience managing and overseeing staff, including identifying and implementing staffing solutions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve issues proactively and make decisions that align with the program's objectives and client expectations.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligiblity required.
Desired Experience/Certifications
- Relevant technical BS degree
- Minimum of five years of experience engineering solutions that provide operational efficiencies and TCO improvements in a DoD environment
