Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Must adhere to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for oversight of Housekeeping Services at The Fox Tower.
- Prepares annual operating budgets, annual capital projects and annual FF&E budgets.
- Manage finances of housekeeping, vendor partner and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls. Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to hotel financial forecasts and budget.
- Requisitions supplies and equipment.
- Implements and maintains Foxwoods quality standards and AAA 4-Diamond standards. Responsible for communicating property expectations to Housekeeping vendor partner and auditing for compliance.
- Designs, develops, organizes and delivers customer service training, skills-based training, and employee orientation for Foxwoods including Quality Assurance Manager and Supply Clerks as well as ensuring adherence by vendor partner Team Members through working with vendor partner management.
- Monitors and reports on guest room status, stock levels and problem situations within The Fox Tower hotel. Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, dcor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the planning and execution of renovation and R&M projects.
- Plan, organize, and monitor vendor partner performance to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by Foxwoods Resort Casino, which requires continuous daily visual inspection of guestrooms and hotel public areas and back of house.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning housekeeping in details of work. Perform interviews, reference checks and completely new hire requirements. Provide staffing, training, counseling, and performance reviews for Foxwoods Housekeeping staff. As well as assists in evaluating HSS (or vendor partner) employees. Administers established training programs.
- Coordinate and cooperate with other departments regarding housekeeping services / activities, guestrooms and special projects.
- Ensures strict adherence to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures top quality guest service. Ensure guest satisfaction and provide service recovery resulting from direct guest contact, social media and online reviews.
- Other duties and special projects as requested by Vice Presidents of Hotel Operations.
- Maintain knowledge of basic sanitation requirements / controls and applications of relevant chemicals. Ensure compliance with TOSHA regulations.
- Promotes positive guest and employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Participates as a panel member on MPGE's Board of Review as needed.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
