Construction Working Superintendent

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the site.
• Collaborate, Manage, and lead internal general trades efforts as they relate to framing, drywall, demo, paint, millwork, acoustical ceilings and both metal and wood doors.
• Manage construction schedule by keeping onsite workforce productive.
• Develop daily and weekly plans to keep projects on schedule
• Responsible for monitoring construction projects for their entire lifecycle.
• Continually develop client relationships and contracts.
• Stay current on the industry benchmarks, norms, and direction. Incorporate those into our strategic plan.
• Exhibit a strong moral and ethical approach to business.
• Adhere to and reinforce exceptional ethical standards through personal actions creating a culture of professionalism, honesty, and integrity, as well as ability to strictly maintain confidentiality with employee and organizational information.
• Responsible for ensuring all safety, quality, and health standards are met.

• Able to self-preform task on site to advance the schedule while managing the site crew to stay productive and on task.
• Overall field and site management of the field operations
• Works directly with sub-contractors and crews to ensure construction tasks are completed on time.
• Can effectively organize and implement a project plan that maintains the project timeline and construction budget
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety practices and procedures
• Coordinate and Schedule the work with subcontractors, owner’s vendors, and facility managers
• Assist Project Manager in all jobsite reporting requirements (Safety, daily reports, SWPPP etc.)
• Assist Project Manager in procurement of work
• Lead project team in development and management of project schedules, site logistics and management plan, QC planning and safety planning
• Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
• Coordinate & lead Owner training for building systems

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of experience as lead carpenter/ Superintendent (residential experience preferred).
• Excellent demonstration of field experience related to project leadership.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid Trained.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Technically skilled and up to date with available Industry standard software systems.
• Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking
• Directly involved with managing their team, assigning each worker to new tasks each day and checking their work for quality and stability.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Walk for long periods of time.
• Bend or twist their body.
• Repeat the same movements.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction management, or related field

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
