Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
A finish bather must have experience in grooming long haired dogs with the ability to scissor all furnishings well. You must be able to trim nails as well as express anal glands. Wage is a direct reflection of your skill and experience ( grooming one’s own dog does not count)
This role involves assisting in various shop operations, ensuring the well-being of animals, and supporting customers with their needs.
You must be able to follow instrunctions, be on time, be able to work alone as well as be a team player. We are looking for the last member of our stong and hard working team. There are lots of opportunities to make extra money as well as a flexible schedule.
We need someone at least two days a week or as many as five, up to you. One weekend day is required.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with inquiries and product selections.
- Handle and care for animals, ensuring their safety and comfort during their stay in the shop.
- Assist with animal restraint and handling as needed, particularly in veterinary or grooming contexts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop environment, including animal areas and product displays.
- Support pet grooming services by preparing animals and assisting groomers as required.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to inventory management and animal care supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient shop operations and high standards of animal care.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred, including roles such as veterinary assistant or pet grooming.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with clients and addressing their needs effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently is required for managing supplies and equipment within the shop.
