Summary
We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT systems, and providing end-user support.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with users.
Essential duties for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Build rapport with users and understand their technical needs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify hardware and software issues.
- Resolve connectivity problems, system crashes, and application errors.
- Perform software installations, updates, and security patches.
- Manage software licensing and compliance.
- Perform file backups and data recovery when needed.
- Ensure optimal workstation performance by maintaining and upgrading hardware.
- Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate IT support records for compliance and efficiency.
- Promote best practices for cybersecurity and data protection.
- Participate in hardware installations and system migrations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement new technologies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
- Proficiency in Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11 environments.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, TCP/IP, and VPN.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements.
