The Medical Assistant with Lab is responsible for clinic laboratory related issues and performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to keep the clinics running in an efficient and professional manner. The Medical Assistant with Lab reports to the Clinic Manager and Back Office Supervisor and directly deals with laboratory related issues and assists physicians and CRNAs during procedures and as directed. The Medical Assistant with Lab participates in both administrative and clinical duties and reports directly to an office manager, physician, or other health practitioners in the care of the patient and directly assists the physician and CRNA during procedures and as directed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Current "In-person" BLS Certificate required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Lab experience preferred.
- Front and back-office experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service.
- Possess a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to relate to diverse communities.
- Possess a warm and caring manner.
- Protect the confidentiality and security of patient information and adhere to HIPPA regulations.
