JB Products, Inc., a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a motivated, efficient and attention-to-detail individual to join our Shipping/Receiving team as a Materials Handler/Forklift Driver. The Materials Handler plays a critical role in maintaining efficient operations in the Shipping and Receiving department. This position is responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials and finished goods, ensuring the workspace remains clean and organized, and supporting overall production goals. This is an entry level position; recent high school graduates are encouraged to apply!

Location: South Bend, IN, in-office (6851 Enterprise Dr.)
Work Schedule: Day shift (M-F, 7am-3:30pm)
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Reports to: Production Manager (who is located onsite).
Team Dynamics: On a small team with other Materials Handlers/Forklift Drivers, an Order Picker, Shipping Coordinators, and other Warehouse members. Will work closely alongside Production team.
Certifications: None required.

This role involves operating two motors, handling and transporting products and materials, and maintaining an active, physical workload.

What you’ll be doing:
- Unloads and inspects incoming deliveries, ensuring items are staged accurately in the shipping area for efficient transfer to designated locations within the plant.
- Loads outbound freight trailers, ensuring loads are secure and meet shipping requirements.
- Prepares and arranges products for trailers, facilitating efficient pickup processes.
- Transports raw materials, finished goods, and other items from the shipping area to appropriate locations on the production floor or in the warehousing area.
- Ensures materials are stored securely and organized to optimize space and accessibility
- Completes and maintains accurate documentation for all material movements to ensure proper inventory tracking throughout the facility.
- Stacks and organizes pallets and materials within the shipping area, maintaining a clean and orderly space.
- Conducts inventory counts as directed and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
Background you’ll need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Demonstrates critical thinking necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
- Able to work on foot for long periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to drive a hi-low truck.
- Prior forklift certification is preferred, but not a requirement.
