Our client is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries.
Job Summary: This position supports the Plant Controller in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions, coordination of the month end closing process, and daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting. Primary day-to-day responsibilities include cost accounting; monitor and report variances, standard cost revisions and the ASAT program.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles

Responsibilities
• Business Partnering with Plant Leaders and other departments (LU, capital vs. expense, etc)
• Assist in physical inventory planning efforts
• At close, responsible for analyzing and booking journal entries, review sales reconciliation, nonlegal analysis & one-offs submission, ½ of the NFI submission, and account reconciliations.
• Perform as a Cost Accountant on a day-to-day basis. Assist and oversee the General Accounting functions such as fixed assets, inter-company accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist in financial, internal and governmental audits.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly operations package, Non-Financial Indicators, Balanced Scorecard, and the “checkbook”.
• Review/perform account reconciliations.
• Assist in the financial closing and with preparation of journal entries.
• Support management financial requests for information through detail analysis and reporting.
• Assist controller in forecasting/ budgeting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting
• One (1) year of related experience in a standard cost environment as a Cost Accountant
• Five (5) years audit or industry experience in accounting field
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• CPA or CMA certification
• Baan/Oracle system experience
• 5 – 10 years of directly related experience; standard cost system, manufacturing, and managerial experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, managerial skills, self-motivated and team-oriented skills.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Must be proficient with computer systems and have excellent excel skills.
• Good communication skills, flexible and a strong desire to learn.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
