Our client is a key US Energy component supplier for commercial & government use looking for a Program Manager to lead the the planning, coordination, and management of major projects which primarily serve the DOD (Department of Defense).
Responsibilities
- Defines the objectives and strategies of the program, to include strategic and company objectives consistent with customer and contract requirements
- Facilitates the timely planning of the program consistent with program requirements and objectives
- The development and implementation of effective cost containment, cost tracking and control methods
- Define product specifications and program scope to ensure it is in line with market / customer needs and ensure development of the product / process accordingly
- Manage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actions
- Performs final job review and resolves ongoing technical contractual job requirements (schedule, technical requirements, and budget.)
- Establishes Program organization and structure and priorities (resource management, scheduling, staff)
- Assures the optimum utilization of program resources
- Assures effective management of subcontracts and execution of the program material plan
- Leads project teams and facilitates the communication and interaction among project and task managers and staff
- Maintains on-going communication with customer to accomplish program goals.
- Reviews and approves waivers, deviations prior to submittal to customer.
- Provide program updates to functional management on a regular basis
- Ensure systems are set up for ordering / manufacturing of products
- Manage & reduce risks including the development of alternatives using risk reduction tools in order to maintain program objectives and schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Preferred candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the management of complex, highly engineered equipment
- Must be US Citizen
