SUMMARY OF POSITION
FPL Food, LLC, the number one family-owned processor of fresh beef products and ground beef selections in the Southeast, is seeking a qualified Inventory Specialist to work 2nd Shift for the Thomasville, GA further processing facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
• Responsible for managing physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations
• Tracking, and reporting non-conforming items
• Documenting and controlling aged & damaged inventory
• Coordinating and integrating efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs as part of the job function
• Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis
• Maintaining PO documents, reconciling with deliveries, and resolving issues as they arise
• Compiling inventory information such as consumption rate and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment
• Monitoring inventory levels and providing notification to supervisor to recommend re-ordering
• Creating ad hoc reports as required by management (primarily Excel based)
• Resolving any weekly and month-end inventory discrepancies
• Ensuring all lines are properly stocked throughout the day
• Any other assigned duties
Schedule: M-F with occasional Saturdays/Sundays, 1:00PM-10:00PM
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
1 to 3 years' experience

1. Must Demonstrate: Recognized leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
2. Excellent communication, written and oral, and customer service relationship skills
3. Analytical skills
4. Intermediate to advanced in Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook
5. Responsible for routine & impromptu purchases and preparing & processing purchase orders or purchase requests in a timely manner so that FPL does not suffer a shortage
6. Communicate effectively with representatives in other departments, keeping them up to date on the status of orders and assisting with any returns
7. Work closely with the department to resolve problems with invoices and set up accounts with new vendors; and will be the point of contact within the company for any vendor inquiries or issues.
