What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Clerk - RKF/ 2nd shift position at FPL FOOD, LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Transportation Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Field incoming calls, relaying messages and inquiries to department personnel.
•Collaborate with Transportation, Shipping, and Operations communicating relevant information to team members.
•Schedule and track offsite transportation needs notifying customers of late trucks.
•Identify, investigate, and report irregularities within inbound/outbound shipping errors, and customer complaints.
•Ensure all load information and/or changes are communicated accurately and quickly.
•Responsible for various computer applications, database management, report generation and tracking spreadsheets.
•Compose department reports, correspondence, and interoffice memos as directed.
•Completes multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing and setting deadlines.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
College degree preferred
Experience
Minimum 2 years clerical experience
Experience with manufacturing preferred

1.Excellent communication, written and oral, and customer service relationship skills.
2.Intermediate to advanced with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, typing, and data entry
3.Must be a self-starter with effective time management; maximizes productivity
4.Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
5.Problem solving skills
6.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
7.Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
8.Gives attention to detail and follows instructions
9. Must be able to work in refrigerated environment.
