Role Overview

The Head of Technology & Innovation will drive the development and management of the IT operations platform and tooling within the Managed Services COE. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including automation, AIOps, observability, monitoring, and cybersecurity, to deliver operational excellence. The position is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation, evaluating emerging technologies, and implementing solutions that enhance IT services and align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations Platform Development & Management

Lead the design, implementation, and management of the IT operations platform, ensuring it meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
Develop and manage observability and monitoring frameworks to ensure real-time visibility into IT systems and applications.
Introduce AIOps capabilities for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent decision-making in IT processes.
Promote the use of machine learning and AI to enhance incident management, root cause analysis, and service optimization.
Oversee the adoption and integration of advanced tools and technologies, including automation frameworks, AIOps platforms, and observability solutions.
Develop a roadmap for platform enhancements, aligning with organizational needs and technological advancements.
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Implement tools and processes to provide actionable insights, enabling faster issue resolution and enhanced user experiences.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure the IT operations platform adheres to security standards and protocols.
Integrate cybersecurity tools and practices into operational platforms, addressing vulnerabilities and threats proactively.

Innovation & Emerging Technology Evaluation

Continuously monitor emerging technologies and assess their relevance to the organization.

Lead the evaluation, pilot testing, and adoption of innovative solutions that enhance IT operations.

Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging teams to explore new ideas and technologies.

Leadership & Collaboration

Build and lead a high-performing team focused on technology innovation and operational excellence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and platforms.

Act as a thought leader, providing strategic direction on technology and innovation initiatives.

Key Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10 years of experience in IT operations, technology innovation, or a related leadership role.

Strong background in automation, AIOps, observability, monitoring, and cybersecurity technologies.

Proven track record of driving technological transformation and innovation in complex environments.

Skills & Competencies

Deep understanding of IT operations frameworks and emerging technology trends.

Expertise in automation tools, AIOps platforms, and observability solutions.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering innovation.

Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
