Description
The Powder Coater position at FR Conversions is a member of the Pre Production Team whose primary duties center around the powder coating station in the Pre Production area. Powder Coaters are required to train on multiple workstations and will be assigned to stations as required by the production schedule. This position reports to a Production Supervisor and then to the Vice President of Supply Chain
Job Category: Hourly, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday
Primary Responsibilities
- Apply powder to raw materials using a manual spray gun
- Maintain temperature, air pressure, and coating flow to ensure a uniform, quality part coating.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training.
- Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assists in performance of routine preventive maintenance as well as inspections of assigned equipment.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation and production facility.
- Assist in performance of periodic departmental and facility wide inventories.
- Assist in periodic facility expansion and upgrade projects.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- 1 years' experience powder coating.
- Experience with blueprint/ schematic reading a plus.
- Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
- Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled work environment in a loud work environment.
- Ability to judge distances and read signs.
- This position may require employee to wear a respirator during job performance for extended periods of time. Applicant should be prepared to successfully pass physical and FIT testing for respirator usage.
