We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team at FR Conversions, a leading manufacturer of vehicle conversions, including ambulances, minivans, and full-size vans. The Safety Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel. This role involves ensuring the enforcement of safety protocols, conducting training, performing inspections, and overseeing the general safety culture of the organization. The Safety Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and collaborate closely with other departments to minimize risks and promote a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Management: Oversee and enforce company-wide safety policies and practices to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Training & Education: Provide training sessions on safety protocols, the proper handling of equipment, emergency response procedures, and hazard recognition for all employees.
Workplace Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of all areas, equipment, and machinery to identify potential hazards, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly.
Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, document findings and suggesting corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Safety Documentation: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance activities.
Emergency Response: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including fire, evacuation, and first-aid protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with department leaders to implement safety strategies and foster a safety-conscious culture across all levels of the organization.
Safety Equipment: Ensure that all safety equipment (PPE, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, etc.) is up-to-date, functional, and readily accessible, and train employees on their proper use.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on industry best practices, new safety technologies, and evolving regulations to continually improve safety standards and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Mid to Senior-level candidates are preferred, with a demonstrated track record in safety management, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing safety roles, preferably in vehicle conversion or automotive manufacturing.
- Proven experience in overseeing safety programs, conducting audits, and providing safety training.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear safety instructions to all levels of employees.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks in a manufacturing environment.
- Must possess a certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA 30, Safety Trained Supervisor).
- Experience conducting safety audits and training.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate safety records.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond quickly to safety concerns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Salary & Compensation:
The Safety Manager position is a full-time, salaried role with compensation based on experience and qualifications. Compensation packages are subject to applicable labor laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.
Job Categorization:
This position is a full-time, salaried, FLSA non-exempt role (SOC Code 19-5011).
Safety-Sensitive Position:
This role is a safety-sensitive position and may require at-cause and post-incident drug and alcohol testing to maintain a safe working environment.
