Job Description Fragomen’s Silicon Valley office seeks an energetic and dynamic Human Resources Manager to support and embrace our post pandemic remote and hybrid work models. This Human Resources Manager will provide direct support for our dedicated immigration professionals and corporate staff while collaborating with a focused management team to implement initiatives to meet the constantly evolving development goals of our people. This HR Manager will have the unique opportunity to work with both staff and leadership in designing and implementing initiatives that should adapt to what’s next. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain an “open door policy” and contribute to leading a culture that is consistent with a “Best Places to Work” brand. Serve as a knowledgeable trusted advisor to employees and act as a liaison for employees, local partners and managers in addressing employee relations matters Work with Talent Acquisition team to coordinate the successful onboarding of new joiners Monitor and manage welcoming programs for new joiners with legal team managers, including conducting Workday training Facilitate the identification of training needs as well as the delivery and tracking of job- specific and supervisory training leveraging the Talent Management team as appropriate. Support the maintenance of our key HR data in the firm’s HRMS (Workday) and other systems as needed Create and distribute updates to Human Resources and related policies to employees on behalf of the management team Manage performance review with team management and the annual merit increase processes for employees in the areas of responsibility Provide subject matter expertise on local California employment rules and practices Mitigate risk by resolving employee relations and conflict issues escalating situations to the HR Director and Office of General Counsel as appropriate Collaborate with HR functional areas to ensure delivery of Talent Acquisition support, Talent Management program delivery and Total Rewards initiatives. Manage all facets of the day-to-day Human Resources Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree and/or SPHR a plus. 5 - 8 years of Human Resources Generalist experience. Demonstrated experience with leading new hire and onboarding processes, coaching managers, and monitoring and inspiring employee engagement, performance and retention efforts. Experience in strategic and operational execution of all Human Resources functions. Knowledge of Federal and State specific employment laws including FMLA, FLSA, State STD plans, Americans with disabilities act, etc. Proven ability to work effectively with executive level management. Entrepreneurial sensibility with a “can-do” attitude Excellent skills in analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking Experience working in a HR role in a large global corporation strongly preferred. Experience working in professional services preferred. Well-developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills together with good persuasion and influencing skills. The incumbent must be able to interact effectively with internal clients, external stakeholders and international colleagues on all levels of the organization Exceptional Wordle skills and love of great food truck cuisine
