Job Title: In-House Quality Inspector
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an In-House Quality Inspector. As a vital member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for inspecting both raw materials and finished products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in all aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products according to established protocols and standards.
· Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or deviations from specifications during the inspection process.
· Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and tests using a variety of tools and equipment to assess product quality.
· Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues in a timely manner and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
· Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including detailed reports and documentation of non-conforming items.
· Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent quality issues from occurring.
· Participate in quality assurance meetings and provide input on quality-related matters to support continuous improvement efforts.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
· Must have proven experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in quality assurance or related field preferred.
· Strong understanding of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
· Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing instruments.
· Basic math and geometry skills
· Able to read 2D and 3D dimensioned drawings for sheet metal fabrications
· Must know basic tolerancing processes
· Familiar with ISO 9000 practices
· Work in an organized and communitive fashion
· Must maintain a dependable work schedule
