What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Fralock?
This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.
Main Functions
Leads and directs accounting functions and personnel. Establishes and maintains the company's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Purchase accounting for acquisitions and financial statement consolidation accounting required. Directs analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports. Prepares analysis of budget and cost statistics for internal control use and reporting to Board of Directors and lenders. Presents findings and recommendations to management.
Typical Duties
Establish and manage the company's accounting policies and procedures including management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
Prepare and submit company's regulatory reporting
Significant involvement in preparation of annual budgets and on-going forecasts
Preparation of significant portions of company's monthly financial reports and contribution of financial data for Board of Directors meetings including budget variance and cost analysis
Maintain financial policies and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting
Present recommendations to Executive Management
Required Skills
Proficiency in computer skills with emphasis on Excel, Accounting Software, ERP systems specific to manufacturing environment, Budgeting Software, Power Point, and Word.
In depth knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance requirements and knowledge of California business license and regulatory requirements.
Occasional travel required- valid driver's license, insurance, and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Skills
Experience in multi-entity consolidation accounting
Experience with consolidation software for multi-entity reporting
Experience with corporate acquisitions, sales, and due diligence
Experience in working with M2M (Made 2 Manage) and Prophix software
Licensed CPA strongly preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business with focus/concentration in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience Requirements
5 years’ experience as controller or equivalent function
Prior experience in manufacturing
Private Equity experience
Strong cost accounting background
Salary : $170,000 - $200,000
