You will be leading a team of framers and be responsible for overseeing the framing operations on construction sites ensuring that projects are completed efficiently while ensuring FrameTec’s quality standards are met.
Core Responsibilities Of a Framing Foreman At FrameTec
- Manage and lead assigned framing teams ensuring that projects are framed in a timely manner with accuracy.
- Ensure that all team members understand the specifications of the project.
- Conduct training as necessary to ensure teams can complete assigned projects on-time, accurately and safely.
- Work with teams to ensure that the assigned project not only meets the standards established by FrameTec, but also those assigned by industry standards and the rules of local jurisdictions.
- Inspect work produced by teams and address issues with quality, timing, safety and any other issues to ensure team members have the skills needed to perform at the highest level.
- Other duties as assigned.
The FrameTec Framing Foreman Should Have the Following:
- Technical Expertise - A strong working knowledge of wood framing techniques, tools and materials.
- Strategic Thinking – Help develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand challenges presented on jobsite and able to develop plans to work through challenges; adapts strategy to changing conditions.
- Supervisory Experience - Ability to supervise multiple levels of employees and create a strong team where employees thrive, exhibit strong work ethic and become engrained in the FrameTec culture.
- Verbal and Written Communication – Ability to relay information as needed in both verbal and written form.
- Safety First Mindset – Ensure that all tasks associated with wood framing are completed in a safe manner, considering not only self but others at FrameTec and others on the customer jobsite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Miscellaneous Requirements to be Part of the FrameTec Framing Operations Team:
- 5 years of wood framing experience is preferred but other experience may be considered.
- Prior supervisory experience a plus.
- Ability to read structural and architectural plans.
- Knowledge of safe and appropriate use of tape measure, power tools.
- Ability to manage teams of up to 12 with strong oral and written communication.
- The ability to plan, project and prioritize in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Be highly motivated and be able to work independently as well as be a collaborative team member.
- The ability to lift and move components that may weigh more than 100 pounds.
- Comfortable with and knowledge of safety requirements in working from heights.
