What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Assessment and Programming for SUCCESS Fund position at Framingham State University?
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Framingham State has received SUCCESS funding from the state as part of a holistic understanding of the need to support retention and persistence efforts and to increase graduation rates, especially for under-supported communities. This position will directly support the Vice President of Student Success and the other faculty and staff who are working on projects associated with and/or sponsored by the funding. This position will primarily work on developing assessment tools appropriate for a variety of initiatives and helping program sponsors to monitor the work and understand what kinds of data needs to be collected for assessment and reporting to internal audiences and to the Commonwealth.

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support program developers sponsored by the SUCCESS funding to create assessment tools and train them on what kind of data they need to collect to assess programs
- Support the Vice President of Student Success in SUCCESS Funding program management and tracking of initiatives
- Develop calendars of assessment for SUCCESS fund initiatives
- Develop assessment tools and evaluate these tools annually for possible adjustments or improvements
- Create or help create assessment reports for internal audience and state reporting
- Work with program developers and supervisors of staff hired with student success funding to develop rubrics for assessing the work these staff do in connection to Student Support Funding
- Coordinate the documenting, preparing, and maintaining of work plans and progress reports for SUCCESS Funding initiatives
- Work with Office of Assessment and Accreditation, Institutional Research, and the Starfish Coordinator on data collection and data sharing work
- Support data visualization for Student Success initiatives
- Contribute ideas, inquiries, and direction to support the goals of this position and the SUCCESS program

WORKING CONDITIONS:
All of the work associated with the duties and responsibilities for this position is ordinarily performed at Framingham State's main campus, and may be done periodically from a remote location consistent with the conditional provisions specified within University's Telework Guidelines and in accordance with an approved Telework Agreement. The position may require some evening and weekend work, especially during programming initiated by SUCCESS funding.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least three years of assessment experience
- Experience working with quantitative and qualitative datasets
- Evidence of work with data visualization software
- Knowledge and experience with survey systems (e.g., Qualtrics) and statistical methodology and software (e.g., SPSS).
- Experience with developing professional development and trainings in assessment.
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations, including first-generation and underrepresented students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Tableau, PowerBi, or comparable visual analytics software
- Certification in Project Management
- Master's degree
- Proficiency with Starfish
- Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a union title of Staff Associate. The expected starting salary is $65,000.
This is a grant-funded position, and ongoing employment is subject to continued grant funding.
