We are hiring a Store Manager in our Bellevue chocolate boutique.
Position Summary:
The Bellevue Store Manager (Full Time, 40 hrs) at Fran’s Chocolates is responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned retail location, including sales, profitability, customer service, visual merchandising, operations, and inventory. The role involves leading and motivating the store team, fostering an environment of excellence, teamwork, and customer care. The Store Manager drives results through effective coaching, feedback, and recognition, ensuring the team exceeds performance expectations and maintains a positive, engaging workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience: Lead by example in delivering Fran’s exceptional customer service. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that ensures customer satisfaction and drives loyalty.
- Leadership: Promote the company’s values and mission through integrity, honesty, and knowledge. Keep calm and proactive during busy periods or unexpected events, setting a positive tone for the team.
- Team Management: Provide daily direction and coaching to staff, recognizing their performance and addressing morale proactively. Maintain an open, collaborative team environment.
- Sales & Profitability: Utilize business reports to guide the team in exceeding sales targets. Train staff on upselling techniques to increase average transaction value and achieve store goals. Provide feedback on customer preferences and store environment to support continuous improvement.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store adheres to visual presentation standards, creating a compelling shopping experience. Oversee merchandising, product displays, and signage, ensuring consistency with the Fran’s brand.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, including accurate inventory management, product integrity, and adherence to HR policies. Execute opening/closing procedures and ensure compliance with all operational standards.
- Staff Development: Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent. Ensure all team members are well-trained in product knowledge and customer service, and maintain staff availability to meet sales goals. Lead performance evaluations and continuous team development.
- Product Expertise: Inspire customers with Fran’s story and unique product offerings. Provide in-depth product knowledge to staff and customers through tastings and engaging interactions to enhance the shopping experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of management experience in retail, specialty food, or a customer-focused environment.
- Strong selling and communication skills, with a passion for connecting customers to Fran’s products.
- Ability to maintain a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to pass a nationwide background check.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout the store for extended periods.
- Capability to handle daily operations with poise, logical decision-making, and clear communication.
