What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Application Analyst position at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital?
HOURS: Full-time position; in house with potential for some remote work.
REQUIREMENTS: An Associate’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, or a degree in a clinical or healthcare related discipline is preferred; however, approved experience may substitute for education requirements. Minimum of 2 years in the health care industry required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with health care IT experience preferred. Meditech experience is preferred.
JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for supporting the Meditech and other applicable software for clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic departments, including, but not limited to medical/surgical units, emergency room, outpatient infusion center, and other patient care areas. This position provides high quality customer service by troubleshooting issues, providing training, and encouraging maximization of software utilization. The analyst will work closely with other departments to problem solve and improve services to clinicians and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other departments to problem solve and improve build and workflow processes to improve services to clinicians and patients.
- Serve as an expert on the system functionalities
- Design, build, and monitor documentation within the patient care settings.
- Assists in the development and execution of training for end users
- Exhibits an understanding of healthcare information systems and the interaction and impact within and between systems.
