The Technology Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the technological infrastructure that supports both the franchisor company and its network of franchisees. This position requires a strategic leader with expertise in IT systems, project management, and data governance, ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. The Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s technology strategy, overseeing IT infrastructure, and implementing scalable technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency across all franchise locations. Additionally, the role involves serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for Franchise Business Coaches, offering guidance and training on technology-related matters while ensuring smooth integration of new systems and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and with approval, execute the technology strategy for the franchisor, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Serve as the SME and provide strategic direction, guidance, and training to other staff supporting internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the approved technology roadmap, including long-term planning for infrastructure, software, and service development to meet the evolving needs of the company and its franchisees.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on all technology-related issues affecting franchise operations, ensuring technology solutions meet the unique needs of the franchise network.
  • Design and implement scalable technology solutions for franchisor departments and / or franchisees, optimizing business processes and driving efficiency across all locations.
  • Provide strategic oversight on the deployment of new technology tools, systems, and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions for franchisees and minimal disruption.
  • Oversee the management and performance of technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud solutions, and proprietary systems used by the franchisor and franchisees.
  • Ensure the highest standards of security and data protection, implementing policies and protocols for safeguarding critical business and customer data.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates.
  • Manage and optimize data models (e.g., star and snowflake schemas), monitor query performance, and apply techniques such as indexing and partitioning to enhance data retrieval speed.
  • Establish and enforce data quality, governance, and security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting sensitive data through proper access controls and encryption.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, data backups, and disaster recovery processes, ensuring the data warehouse operates efficiently and securely.
  • Provide ongoing support for BI tools, ensuring data availability and accuracy for business users, and address any performance issues or data discrepancies.
  • Continuously monitor the data warehouse’s health, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure business continuity, while documenting best practices and process improvements.
  • Oversee the administration and management of Google Workspace, including user account setup, permissions, security configurations, and integration with other business tools, ensuring efficient collaboration, data protection, and seamless user experience across the organization.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and reliability, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact business operations.
  • Lead technology vendor management efforts, negotiating and managing contracts with third-party technology providers, ensuring favorable terms, performance metrics, and ongoing compliance.
  • As requested, build and maintain strong relationships with key technology partners, ensuring that franchisee technology needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Set clear project goals, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources effectively to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives that support the franchisor’s strategic objectives.
  • As requested, oversee the creation and maintenance of reporting dashboards that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) on technology systems' and franchise network performance.
  • Provide data-driven insights to assist senior leadership in making informed decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend new technology solutions to optimize business performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and recommend new solutions that enhance the overall franchisee experience and improve internal processes.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure technology-driven initiatives are smoothly adopted by both internal teams and franchisees.
  • Develop and once approved, manage the technology budget, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with company goals and deliver high ROI.
  • Identify cost-effective technology solutions and negotiate vendor contracts to maximize value and minimize unnecessary spending.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • Proven experience in aligning technology strategies with business growth objectives.
  • Budget management and cost optimization for IT infrastructure.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability to implement scalable tech solutions across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency in Back and Frontend Development a strong plus.
  • Cloud and DevOps Management highly desirable.
  • Proficient in ensuring Cybersecurity and Compliance are met for all technology platforms, systems, or integrations.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The Franchise Company offers a flexible work location arrangement; however, the role is based in our Plano TX Headquarters office and consistent attendance in Plano is required o Standard indoor working environment o Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer o Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the company and will interface with Franchisees and external vendors as necessary.

    The expected salary range for this position is listed. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors which may result in pay outside of the stated range.

    Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
