Under the close supervision of an Administrator I, the incumbent performs as a lead person on a collection team striving to continually improve quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction by providing support to the Personal Income Tax (PIT) Billing, Compliance and Collection Bureau, PIT Collection Contact Center. The incumbent assists in training and development of staff at the Tax Technician level and provides technical assistance. The incumbent performs compliance activities related to collections, reviews work performed by the team for quality and accuracy, and statistical reporting. The incumbent is also responsible for having an understanding of the Revenue and Taxation Code, administrative regulations, and policies and procedures to ensure departmental compliance with tax laws to maximize collection of revenue and provide customer service to internal and external customers. Finally, the incumbent participates as a team member with peers and others to identify, research, and resolve work-related issues, consistent with the Department’s Mission and Values.
Incumbent must be available to work shifts ranging from 7:00 am. to 5:30 pm. (Hours may vary based on operational or business needs).

Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of Personal Income Tax (PIT) and/or Business Entity (BE) laws, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Franchise Tax Board (FTB) systems and applications such as: Enterprise Tax System (ETS), Taxpayer Information (TI),Business Entities Tax System (BETS), Accounts Receivable Collection System (ARCS), Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Integrated Nonfiler Compliance (INC), Board of Equalization (BOE), Secretary of State (SOS), Lexis Nexis, Taxpayer Folder, Case Management (CM), or other related systems.
