Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the Administrator II, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs basic analytical duties to complete less complex program, budgetary and revenue work assignments that support the Filing Division Chief and other senior managers within the division with resource and fiscal management. Program related assignments include coordinating and calculating costs related to proposed legislation, coordinating external communication requests, analyzing merit award suggestions, and participating on divisional/bureau implementation teams. Budget related assignments including planning, monitoring, and coordinating activities associated with Personnel Services and Operating Expense & Equipment (OE&E) resources. Revenue assignments include tracking notices and assisting the Revenue Analyst and Lead with less complex revenue analysis projects. The incumbent provides administrative support including organizing, tracking, and maintaining various work documents and files for the section, bureau, and division. The SSA is required to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to obtain and share information and give instructions to customers and stakeholders.

Working Conditions
This is a permanent, part-time position for 20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and must be within the business hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
