Position Summary:

The staff accountant is a vital member of the accounting and finance team, responsible for fulfilling various duties and responsibilities as required. This position reports directly to the Controller and plays a crucial role in the organization's financial operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Manage accounts receivable, generate and send invoices, and monitor outstanding customer payments.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing timely and accurate information for management review.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights into trends, costs, and revenue.
• Collaborate with other departments and team members to gather and provide financial information.
• Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
• 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP
