- Instructional Support:
- Assist with classroom activities to help students meet tier I instructional goals.
- Implement instructional strategies as prescribed by teachers to reinforce learning concepts.
- Teach individual or small groups of students in subjects such as phonics, math, and reading, tracking their progress.
- Library & Technology Support:
- Support the Library Media Specialist with tasks including processing materials, supervising students, and teaching small groups.
- Demonstrate and implement technology tools to enhance the curriculum.
- Monitor and assist students in using online technology programs to develop keyboarding skills.
- Student Monitoring & Behavior:
- Monitor and reinforce learning, implementing behavior management programs as designed by teachers.
- Conduct data collection, screening, and progress monitoring to support student success.
- Training & Professional Development:
- Attend workshops and in-service training as required to stay updated on job functions and guidelines.
- Provide training and assistance to teachers on integrating technology and 21st-century skills into the curriculum.
- Administrative Support:
- Monitor the circulation desk, track overdue/lost books, and manage fines.
- Process new materials, repair books, and update the library’s website and inventory.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective functioning of the work unit.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Relevant job-related experience is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in using educational technology and tools; ability to maintain accurate records and perform various tasks.
- Knowledge: Understanding of child guidance principles, basic subjects taught in schools, and instructional materials and techniques.
