Job Summary
The Paraprofessional - Recess performs general duties to maintain a safe and orderly environment during recess and supports student engagement through organized activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend Training: Participate in in-service training to gather information needed for the role.
- Implement Discipline: Enforce discipline procedures to help students follow rules.
- Maintain Equipment: Ensure playground equipment is in working order and replenish supplies as needed.
- Monitor Students: Supervise students during recess to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Organize Activities: Plan and execute indoor and outdoor activities to keep students engaged.
- Report Issues: Communicate discipline concerns to teachers and principals; report safety hazards to relevant personnel.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Job-related experience is desired.
- Skills:
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
- Basic math skills
- Clear communication and understanding of written procedures
- Knowledge:
- Basic math, including fractions, percents, and ratios
- Relevant policies, regulations, and laws
- Abilities:
