What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bachelor of Social Work Program Director position at Francis Marion University?
Francis Marion University and the Department of Sociology invite applications for the position of Program Director for the newly developed Bachelor of Social Work. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The BSW Program Director is responsible for assisting the department in acquiring accreditation through CSWE. The program director will oversee and execute the CSWE accreditation process and further curriculum development. They will also be tasked with establishing professional partnerships within the Pee Dee region and recruiting students. The ability to teach Introduction to Social Work, courses related to children with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disabilities, and intervention courses are desirable. Other duties include academic advising, research and scholarship, and working with the BSW Field Director to ensure placement of students.
FMU Requirements:
MSW from a CSWE-Accredited program with a minimum of 2 years of post-MSW professional practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Social Work, experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders
and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
