Primary Function of Position :

Provides assistance in the planning and implementation of construction, repairs, and remodeling of District projects.

Essential Job Functions :

• Manages small projects.

Develops scopes of work and estimates.

• Prepares preliminary layouts using CADD.
• Solicits for quotes and manages contractor work.
• Processes invoices, as-builts, and closeout documents through warranty.
• Assists with managing the materials library.

Assists with maintaining building material samples.

• Assists with purchasing furniture and developing furniture standards.
• Assists with purchasing artwork / graphics and developing standards.
• Assists with purchasing and managing interior wayfinding signage.
• Assists with providing information on the planning, research, and implementation of projects.
• Manages the process for task chair demonstration and purchases.
• Ability to be present on the job as described under working conditions and contract details.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Bachelor's degree in management or design-related field required.
• Three to five years of contract management or related experience preferred.
• Must have a minimum of three years of CADD.
• Autodesk Revit experience is preferred.
• Experience with public procurement or bid process a plus.
• Competent in the use of office productivity systems and databases.
• Exceptional and effective verbal / written communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate commitment to effective team building and development of personnel.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and direction.
• Ability and desire to maintain / manage an efficient, well organized work area.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment by prioritizing tasks and projects.
• Ability to understand and meet critical deadlines.
• Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills are a must.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with a sense of urgency.
• Anticipate needs, be resourceful and have ability to build strong employee partnerships within the organization.
• Able to manage heavy workload and work outside of regular work schedule in order to accommodate special projects and departmental deadlines.
• Ability to consistently deliver superior customer service and work quality to internal and external customers.

Working Conditions :

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking; concentrated visual effort is required; extensive communication with internal and external customers. Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance. This is not an exhaustive list and reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.

Organizational Relationship :

Full-time, exempt personnel position reports directly to the Director of Facility Development. Evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy.

Contract Details : Twelve-month contract, subject to annual renewal. Working days and hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m.

Francis Tuttle offers a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employment to include paid health and dental insurance, monthly supplemental benefit compensation of $465, employee leave plan with family friendly work calendar and 100% contribution into Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System. Effective January 1, 2025, the district will match up to 2% of monthly, base salary with a 403b or 457 retirement plan (base salary does not include stipends or extra duty).
