Franciscan Healthcare is looking for a Director of Pharmacy to oversee all areas of pharmacy services, programs, and personnel. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a pharmacy's operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services by managing staff, maintaining compliance with regulations, optimizing inventory, and collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care, while also focusing on cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency within the pharmacy department.
Hours: Full-time, Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, required
- Active or ability to obtain an unrestricted pharmacy license in the state of Nebraska, required
- Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or public health, preferred
- American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred or equivalent of two years of experience
- Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification, preferred
- Experience in design and planning of new pharmacy spaces, preferred
- Experience in USP 797 and USP 800, preferred
Other Competencies
- Demonstrate excellence in training undergraduate students, residents, pharmacy technicians, patient financial counselors, and pharmacists
- Knowledge of various computerized and mechanical devices as necessary for product preparation and dispensing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $132,159.00 - $170,000.00 per year
