What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Laundry position at Franciscan Care Services, Inc.?
Franciscan Healthcare is looking for Housekeeping staff to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Hours: Minimum 35 hours/week mainly days and some evenings, rotating weekends
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and walls
- Clean, wash, disinfect, and polish bathroom and fixtures
- Clean windows, mirrors, and blinds
- Clean floors to include dry, damp, and wet mopping
- Clean carpets to include, vacuuming and spot removal in assigned areas
- Discard infections/non-infections waste into proper containers
- Removing stains from items following appropriate procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPPA
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Full range of body motion with frequent standing and walking as well as bending, stooping and reaching
- Medium strength with lifting of 50 lbs. occasionally, 25lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly (Lifting over 35 lbs requires assistive devices be used)
- Full manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and alertness
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Combination of office and normal clinic environment
- Frequent exposure to dirty and unsanitary conditions
- Frequent exposure to cleaning fluids and toxic materials
- Exposure to infectious waste and disease
- Exposure to latex through regular use of gloves and contact in the clinic environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
