WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Completes student evaluation materials, such as clinical evaluation tools and grades written clinical assignments, in a thorough and timely manner.
Holds students accountable for the acquired competency in their performance, and assists students in re-mediation to acquire and maintain competency.
Informs Principle Course Instructor (PCI) of course or student issues in a timely fashion.
Manages schedule to ensure regular and prompt attendance at all required course activities and meetings.
Motivates students through instructional and counseling activities toward high levels of contribution to the discipline. Conducts conferences with students concerning academic and clinical competence and progress.
Participates in end-of-year or term course reviews and team meetings.
Participates in scholarship through teaching, application, and the integration, and discovery of knowledge appropriate to adjunct role and expectations.
Plans meaningful learning experience such as classroom activities, pre/post conferences, and clinical assignments for student supervision, evaluation and feedback conferences, based on assigned course outcomes/criteria. Schedules, implements, and evaluates didactic and clinical/lab activities for curriculum courses to which assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree Required
3 years Clinical practice in Adult Health, Maternal-Child Health, Mental Health, Community Health or Home Healthcare setting Required
2 years Direct supervision or management experience Preferred
1 year Teaching experience in a registered nursing education curriculum at the associate, baccalaureate, or diploma level Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensing Board in state of practice Indiana Required Upon Hire
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) American Heart Association in state of practice Indiana Required Upon Hire
