WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Change Management Acts as a change agent by introducing and supporting new ideas as well as assisting in the implementation and sustainment of change strategies.
- Education Development & Coordination Assesses staff training or education needs by collecting data and feedback. Plans educational interventions based on collected data. Facilitates the development of educational activities based on the target audience learner needs ensuring adult learning principles are incorporated. Coordinates or implements the training or development.
- Orientation Develops, coordinates, maintains, evaluates and improves components of the orientation process using evidenced-based practice. Monitors and documents the orientation process.
- Education Evaluation Evaluates on an ongoing basis the results of educational programs, processes, and clinical interventions to ensure they are activities meeting the standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Education Development & Coordination Assesses staff training or education needs. Plans educational interventions based on collected data. Facilitates the development of educational activities based on the target audience learner needs ensuring adult learning principles are incorporated. Coordinates or implements the training or development.
- Communication Facilitates the communication process between management, staff, ancillary departments, and professional contacts across the Franciscan Alliance. Utilizes appropriate channels of communication.
- Leadership and Collegiality Serves as a leader to promote the professional growth of peers. Facilitates interdepartmental collaboration to achieve project and organizational goals. Serves as a resource for and contributes to the professional development of interdisciplinary team members.
- GAP Analysis Performs and reports the gaps between processes, procedures, and system functionality between Current State and Desired Future State Analysis.
- Evidence Base Practice, Research, Resource Utilization Serves as a reliable source of information on the latest evidence. Leads in the conduct and utilization of nursing research, evidence-based practice and process improvement. Develops, pilots, evaluates, and incorporates innovative models of practice. Participates in need identification, selection and evaluation of products and equipment.
- Staff Development Supports staff development with educational activities including remediation, certification, mentoring, regulatory requirements, new equipment/procedures, and EMR updates. Supports and guides staff in their personal and professional development goals and objectives.
- Mentor & Staff Training Mentors and trains new coworkers.
- Preferred: Critical Care Registered Nursing experience
- Four 8 hr. shifts
- No weekends
- No call
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing Education/Leadership/Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Preferred: 3years Nursing/Patient Care
- Preferred: 2 years Department Specific Knowledge
- Required: Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Required: Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
- Required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Preferred: Board Certification (BRD CERT)
