WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- EKG Reads EKGs, including identifying any abnormal findings.
- Data Analysis Analyzes data collected from remote device reports and office checks and determines patient follow up requirements or need for provider review.
- Material Preparation Reads remote device checks and prepares a summary for final provider review.
- Data Entry Enters data into systems to track device information; produces related reports for providers.
- Equipment Maintenance Provide client device interrogation and program adjustments, per the direction of the provider, for all in office device checks.
- Professional Development Develops a broad understanding of all device vendors and device programming requirements.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- Required 1 year Successful completion of ECG Course within 12 months or 1 year Successful completion of an Industry online training academy within 12 months of employment which includes: cardiac physiology, disease and rhythms; pacing therapy; ICD therapy; cardiac resynchronization therapy, syncope and cardiac monitors and temporary pacemakers or 1 year Certified Device Clinic Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technologist (CRAT) from a recognized device training school or industry
- Required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Preferred Associate's Degree
