WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Answers routine telephone or in-person inquiries, referring patrons to librarians for further assistance when necessary.
- Catalog and sort books and other print and non-print materials according to procedures, and returns them to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas.
- Codes, classifies, and catalogs books, publications, films, audio-visual aids, and other library materials based on standard library classification systems.
- Provides technical assistance to patrons by composing summaries of journal contents and delivering subsequently requested materials.
- Searches standard reference materials, including online sources and the Internet, to answer patrons reference questions.
