What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Critical Care Transportation position at Franciscan Health?

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Work with state agencies regarding ambulance service certification.
Interface with Nursing Operations, Case Management, and Unit leaders requesting patient transportation.
Work with the ED to arrange for staff to assist in the ED between transport calls.
Work with appropriate dispatching entity (i.e. patient logistics/Transfer Center).
Ensure appropriate stocking of vehicles, maintenance on vehicles and safety of vehicles.
Plan for future business strategies including NICU and critical care transports.
Communicate regularly with local ambulance vendors to coordinate back-up transport support.
Track quality indicators including timeliness, statistics regarding runs, and other key processes.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
Ensure all state and accreditation paperwork is completed and submitted before due.
Negotiate and approve contracts at the department level and oversee the approval through administration.
Teach and assist teaching in both the EMT and paramedic programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED - Required
Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
5 years Delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care - Required
5 years Appropriate medical or allied health education, training and experience. - Required
2 years Customer Service - Preferred
Licensed Paramedic (PARA) - Required
