WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
Documentation of patient care.
Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED Preferred
1 year Healthcare experience as a patient care technician or similar position Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Franciscan Patient Care Assistant Program (FPCAP), or Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Required
