Job Summary
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Campus, you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients. Your key responsibilities include performing delegated patient care activities, documenting patient care, participating in unit organization and cleaning, and maintaining unit supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training.
- Document patient care.
- Participate in unit organization, cleaning, and safety.
- Maintain unit supplies, prepare patient rooms, and enter charges.
- Answer multi-line telephones to assist in unit operation.
- Answer questions about treatment plans within expected scope or refer to RN.
- Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Nursing student with 1st semester of clinicals completed preferred.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required or prior PCT experience in another acute care healthcare organization required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required - Franciscan will provide BCLS training and recertification as needed.
Travel Requirements
Travel is required for this position.
