Medication history is one of those things that requires accuracy and extreme attention to detail. It is best handled by someone who has excellent communication skills, knows the right questions to ask, and can complete the history in a timely manner. Physicians and pharmacists both rely on our Medication Reconciliation Technicians.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Dispense medications following the organization's policies and procedures.
Interview patients and/or family members to obtain information about current medications prescribed and taking, adherence to the documented regimen, and medication changes.
Maintain drug and supply inventory in distribution areas.
Package and accurately label extemporaneous solid and liquid dosage medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Participate in the department’s Quality Improvement Program and other continuous and process improvement initiatives.
Utilize EPIC to access information and document completion of tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High School Diploma/GED
2 years Pharmacy Tech (hospital or retail) Preferred
Pharmacy Intern Permit (PHINTERN) - State Licensing Board
Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
